K-Solo (born Kevin Madison on April 17, 1968) is an American rapper from Central Islip, New York who, along with Redman, EPMD, Das EFX, and Keith Murray, was part of the Hit Squad in the 1990s.

Mr. Thorne was known throughout Rochester not only as a radio personality but more importantly as a producer and engineer who would showcase his latest productions over the airwaves, which caught the attention of David Schumaker the owner of Dajhelon Entertainment, where Mr. Thorne would work for the next four years. While there Mr. Thorne worked as in-house producer and an audio engineer where he worked with the then unknown artists Timbaland, and Missy Elliot. At the same time he was producing his own artist, Tweet who would go on to sign with Atlantic records under Missy Elliot. Mr. Thorne would also be instrumental in launching the careers of DJ Green Lantern (NAS, Jay-Z and Eminem) Ben Buford (Dr. Dre/Aftermath) Shaun “The Wax Cutter” Dukes (WDKX and Kings Destroy) and Eric “E-Bass” Johnson (Kanye West, KRS-1 and Bad Boy Records). In 1990 Mr. Thorne appeared in the Source’s Unsigned Hype for his production skills and would later help his life long friend K-Solo in the development of his first label Cell Block Records. During his years in the music industry Mr. Thorne worked alongside the likes of the legendary song writer/producer Dez Dickerson of Prince and the Revolution, and the last project that Mr. Thorne was involved in before leaving Dajhelon and the music industry was Jodeci’s last album, The Show, The After Party, The Hotel.
